Wedding clicks…
Oh my gosh, I am WORE OUT!
I spent most of today hiding in a corner and snapping pictures for one of my friends. Today was her wedding rehearsal dinner thingy, and tomorrow is her big day. I’m not a professional photographer by any means, but for some reason I am the first person she thought of when they were trying to find someone affordable for their wedding. Seriously? ME? ha! Of course I agreed, not only would it be good experience for my skills but I know how much they need to prepare for their baby and a few thousand dollars for someone to take some pictures, in my opinion, is insane.
So as much as I don’t like to be around people, I went. She wanted me to use her Dads camera. Which was fine, but I was really worried. Using a camera for the FIRST TIME is not something you want to be doing on a SPECIAL day. But the camera was her Dad’s and he had used it on her sister’s wedding day. And they are both now deceased. So I said ok.
Wow, that’s really sad now that I read it all typed out.
Anyway, I spent the day hiding along the walls trying not to be too intrusive on the dinner. I found myself thinking about my own wedding. And wondering if there will ever come a day when I regret not having a “wedding”. That much money, it always seemed to me, could be spent on much better things then flowers and thousand dollar photographers…..
At some point it struck me, that my Dad was somewhere in Illinois, doing the EXACT same thing as me! He was doing some photography for a wedding too! I wonder if his mind drifted to his marriage(s). I imagine him sitting in the corner snapping pics of smiling faces and wondering to himself if they know just how much “work” they are signing up for.
I wonder what someone who has gone through a hard divorce thinks about as they sit watching their friends get married. Do most think “Good for them for giving it a go” or do they think “What the hell are you thinking?!” Shoot, I’ve never been divorced, and I still think “What the HELL are you thinking!?” lol…
As I drove home today, I thought mostly about my Dad. He is such a good guy. I wonder if it bothers him that he isn’t married, or if he is ok with it. It’s not something we really have ever talked about.
I do think that some people just aren’t “supposed” to be married. I, myself, had no intentions of getting married. My DH and I had been together for 4 years or so, and even had a daughter already when we got married (2001). It had gotten to a point where every phone call with family ended with “Well, you two should REALLY get married! You have kids together for Christ’s sake”. Seriously?! Are you kidding me?! Having kids is NOT the reason to get married! Am I right or am I right?!
Well, one morning I woke up and after listening to the “you should…” lecture yet again I looked at my man and said “You know what, lets go get married so they will all shut up.” So we did. We went and got his dad and my gran and went and got married. LOL…Of course, now the phone calls are all “I cant believe you didn’t have a wedding!” Geeze, REALLY? You just cant please some people!
I hope my Dad knows that even if he wasn’t the “perfect” husband, that he sure turned out to be the perfect Dad. I think being in crappy marriages, kind of gave him a sense of “self”. If that makes sense. He is lucky enough to have a job that affords him the things in life HE likes, and he isn’t working his life away trying to please someone who just will never be happy.
hmm, now that I think about it a bad marriage is kind of like a bad bra. They both keep everything in its place for a time, but there is nothing like stripping them off and getting a full breath of air.
Anyhoo, today has just lasted forever. To my surprise I am absolutely wore out….
I hope you all are having a great weekend! Im off to find something easy to cook for supper and heading to bed. Tomorrow is going to be another long day….

What? Who? Me?!
Holey smokes, my last few days have been absolutely INSANE! What all to tell you about?
First and Foremost, woohoo! I finally did it! I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator! I’m so excited I could just pee myself! LOL… Ok, not really THAT excited but ALMOST!
I have been looking into stamping companies for a few months, because it really looked fun. Lots of fun! I settled on Stampin’ Up! because of their great Angel Use policy! Plus, they not only have stamps and other scrap supplies, but they have added home decor!
You don’t have to live close or have one of those “parties” to order from me either, just go to www.bunnycates.stampinup.net and you can browse their catalog and order right there online!
I know you can’t see me, but I am grinning from ear to ear! I just can’t wait for my start up package to get here!
You do realize this means you will be seeing LOTS and LOTS more cards and crafts on here right?! I will convert all you digi girls to hybrid-eers! I will! I will! hahaha!
What else crazy this week? hmm…
OMG!
So one of my ex-stepbrothers {yep, I am in KY, we have lots of those here, LOL….} found me on MySpace! HI ROBBIE! It’s really kind of crazy to get email from people you haven’t seen in over a decade right out of the blue! Nice of course, but definitely crazy!
Let me see… there was so much I wanted to blog about today, but I swear my mind is running everything together right now! OH!
CRAFTY GOODNESS BELOW: HIDE YOUR CREDIT CARDS! LOL….
I finally got to go to Hobby Lobby. Craft stores are like 2 hours away, so I only get to go if there is something ELSE needed in that town. I have to say I was not impressed. I left empty handed! That says something! lol… We left there, and I was not going to come HOME empty handed so I made my poor hubby take me to Michaels. Guess what! Again, NOT IMPRESSED! I came out sad, staring at my empty hands. What on EARTH is wrong with me! Is my craft-ojo broken? My sweet hubby knowing I was really bummed whipped a u-ey when we passed the Joanns. After I finished screaming, because we happened to be on the busiest road in Evansville {Lloyd Expressway} I saw where he was going. AWWWWWWWWW!!! I love my man! SOMETIMES. LOL…
Looky Looky! They were having 30 and 40% off on Ink and beads and CUTTING TOOLS!
I got all you see here for only $32!

Then I went to Hell Mart for mailers to mail the cards from this months swap, and they were doing a buy one get one thingy on buttons! I got all this (below) plus mailers for $18!
and look! I finally learned WHY I was having such a hard ime getting that zipper into Sis’s dress! I was missing a part! THANK YOU LIVIA!!!!
Now lets pray this fits! It was the only one they had! lol!
The Card Swap!
All the cards finally arrived! Here’s some of them. There are actually a lot more because quite a few folks made all different cards instead of all the same!
Doing the sorting…

HOw TO: Bakery style Gift Bag
Happy Sunday!
I’m bored, and thought I would post a how to on how I made my gift bag from yesterday!
For Supplies: {everything I used came from WalMart or friends}
1 sheet Designer Paper
2 (8.5 x 11) Solid Cardstock (mine is very similar to SU! Almost Amethyst)
1 - 3×4.25in white cardstock
Bunnys BakeryBag Templates (coming soon!)
Alpha Beads
pearls
Button
Bling
thread
Ribbon *2 colors*
Stamps (mine were from HERO ARTS, and Inkadinkadoo)
Ink (Silver was Encore, blue was noname)
2 sided tape
craft Glue
Paper Trimmer
Scissors
Craft knife
Bone Folder
glue dot minis
Craft Wire
The easiest way to use my templates I think, is to just print out the instructions and cut them out (Below). Then trace them on the paper your wanting to cut out…
Then I layered the template on top of my cut out card stock, and used my bone folder to trace/score the FOLD LINES.
Then I folded in the glue strips on the templates out of the way, and had the proper sizing for the decorative paper. again, just traced and trimmed.
adhered one side with double sided tape.
Adhered the decorative paper, and since I had so much left over (I was using 12×12 sheets) I added another layer of solid cardstock. This also helped to reinforce the “lid”
I added my ribbon, and the white cardstock and stamped my sentiment and butterflies. Then I made my “sweet” bead string and attached it with glue dots. Not sure where I got those.
I then tied my bow, and sewed it on with the button. Once it was attached, I glued on some gemmy blingy thingy I had gotten in the bead dept at walmart!
Here’s the underside, you can see the little bit of thread there. I think the next one I make, I will line the ENTIRE inside with decorative paper…
and here’s the finished project. The finished bag is 6 1/2 inches tall, 4 and a half inches across the front, and 1 and 3/4 inches thick. Great for cookies, candies, etc….
Anyhoo, my template will be available as soon as my testers get back to me! I wanted to make sure it was usable for beginners, paper people, and digi people too!
Have a great Sunday!
ps
Make sure to read YESTERDAYS POST to see how you can enter to win this bag!
