So, did you get lots of candy? My brats brought in 3, yes 1…2…3… WALMART BAGS of candy, A piece! WHAT?! They will never eat all that crap. I’ll be spending my morning going thru it and looking for bad or risky stuff. lol…

Am I old school on Halloween? I was talking to Tandika from digiscrapdesigner.com on the tele and we got to talking about Halloween, and people just letting their kids go where ever. UMMM… you know, I didn’t run around when I was a kid and I don’t let mine either (neither did she) but it seems like most other folks don’t tend their kids the way we were tended. You know, Bub was severely ticked at me berceuse I made him go with Dad and Sis and not his little pack of friends. Um… he is 11 years old, BARELY and there were NO ADULTS going to be with them. Its Halloween, its like a child molesters wet dream you know… cute kids coming to the door begging for stuff, NO WAY are my kids going it alone! My dad would have NEVER let me go trick or treating by myself at 11. Now, my family was a little on the over protective side. My cousin was raped and killed when I was LITTLE, so you can imagine how this affected us ALL…. but still…
I think I saw 2 adults in the trick or treaters to my house tonight. 2 adults in 4 hours. No grown ups. What is going on? Am I THAT old school? Something happened and we don’t HAVE to watch our kids anymore? How in the world did I miss THAT news flash?

Do you realize I’m actually typing this at 2am? I CAN NOT SLEEP! I’ll just program it to post around 5 or so. I love that programming the posts thing. I could do up an entire week in advance, and you would NEVER KNOW I wasn’t here. LOL

I MADE A LAYOUT!
I’m always so amazed I find the time to do a layout. Of course today I was regretting it! I did this layout and started off to bed when I remembered the mega kit HAD to go up tonight! NOTHING like waiting till the last minute to do previews COUNT a 300 piece kit, and get all that inputted into the store. NOW I’m wide awake, and its now…

So our normal Halloween routine is come in from school, get costume on, I take photos for about an hour, then they (DAD, SIS, BUB) go trick or treating and I get to spend the evening relaxing in a HOT BUBBLE BATH.. woohoo!
However today, Bub informed me I could take ONE picture! ummm.. excuse me? Too bad for him my flash mysteriously wasn’t working, and the camera kept messing up… hmmm… Sis informed me she would let me take her picture, but she wasn’t going to SMILE, But too bad for her! Mom happens to be very funny when she wants to be, as proof please see NON SMILING example above! LOL… Take that you brats! lol…

Speaking of freebies…
I got a couple of emails asking if their would be more “Moody” freebies. Sorry but no. Infarct, all those will be coming down tomorrow when I clean out 4shared. I was going to leave them up for a while, and continue to build out that kit, like we did with my Strawberries and Me kit, remember? I took requests all month and at the end of the month all the freebies equaled the kit that’s now in the store. Well, that was my goal for the MOODY items. but since someone has taken one of my papers, and is now offering it on their blog – as MADE BY THEM, I see no reason to continue with it. Yep, one bad apple spoiled your pie. LOL… I seriously doubt I will keep doing freebies everyday. Its very disheartening to find my work being passed off as someone else’s, especially when its made specifically for my blog readers, KWIM? Most of my freebies are stuff I was making for myself and decided to share, but that moody kit wasn’t. Oh well.. Tomorrow is another day! Actually TODAY is another day, its freakin 2:40!

I have read your blog everyday for the past month, and you are so funny! I agree with you about not letting your kids run wild on Halloween! DH and I took our kids last night, we have 4 kids between us…and there were packs of kids all over by themselves. I even saw 2 little girls with skirts just covering their behinds, they couldn’t have been over 9 yrs old, trying to cross the street by themselves. Then there were older kids, who had no business trick-or-treating walking around, probably preying on the younger ones. No way mine are getting out of my sight! Anyway, thanks for the freebies, and the laughs everyday! Have a great day!

Oh Me, I guess Im going to have get out my wet noodle and get a hold of the thiefs out there…thats so pathetic that people feel they can do that..I wonder if they shop lift too…same thing..that mades me so mad…
I miss not having kids to take trick or treating..my grandsons outgrew it a few years back..My daughter and her husband took the boys trick or treating tonight and even got some treats themself…little bottles of chocolate liquore or however you spell it..first time Ive EVER heard of that LOL..I agree wholeheartedly about kids not going out by themselves its just way to dangerous..its sure not like it was when I was a kid in the 40s..we got great homemade popcorn balls and cookies and candy and no one was afraid to eat it..but my parents still took us around..
OK Ive run my mouth way to much…oh and by the way Bunny you layout is beautiful..you daughter is so pretty..and I loved her costume…
Lots of parents with kids where I live chaperoning their kids. Saw the cutest kid last night dressed up as a wolf…and daddy had his big ole 35mm around his neck, following him around the neighborhood!

Great layout! and great minds do think alike! Sorry that people are such doofuses. I’d have shouted it from the rooftops, but I’m hearing more and more about piracy. Everyone thinks they’re designers. We had quite a few adults in our area, but they were with the little kids, the bigger ones just run wild.

Okay, how does a person think that they can directly steal something and then offer it as their own in this small community? For real, people! I just don’t get it. Did you call them out?
As for Halloweenies, the good news is that here on Fort Riley the parents did the rounds with their kids by and large. Oh and as far as pilfering candy goes, you would be doing your kids a SERVICE by eating some of that candy, because if they try to eat it all they’ll get sick.

OHHHHHHH! I’m so mad that someone did that. It will ruin it for the rest of us who are fans and love receiving your work.
Please, try not to be disheartened. Maybe they just don’t realize what atrocity they have committed. I once scraplifted a layout, changed it a lot, but it was still someone else’s and didn’t give them credit. When I was called out on it, I was mortified. Can’t even believe I am sharing this with you. It still hurts that I did that unknowingly or not. I immediately owned up to it, apologized profusely and took my layout off the site. I haven’t posted anything since.
I hurt with you. Know there are others out there that share your indignation.

LOVE your layout – she is so VERY pretty!! We had so many kids at our door last night and almost every group had adults with them. I was really glad to see that. About your paper – UGH!!! I am so tired of the whole “digi-stealing” trend that is going on!!! Especially when I spend HOURS on making my freebies and I really try to make them unique – then it’s really easy to tell when someone has ripped you off! It’s just so pitiful!!!

I hear what u r saying! My girl is 9 and we ended up taking her best friend along too because her Mom was gonna let her go out alone???? Then to top it off when we picked her up she looked like a tramp! (NOT JOKING) her hair was all poofed out and she had this little skimpy dress on. I am always aware of the weather and made my kids dress under their costumes so they wouldn’t freeze to death. At the end of the night, Kate had to lend her friend a jacket!!!!

Nadya didn’t go out this year – she’s too young, but when she does you can bet we’re going to be there too! When my bro was little I took him (he’s 11 years younger than me) too! Why would anyone willingly let their child be put in danger? I guess I just don’t get it.

I grew up in a pretty trusting community where everyone knew each other. We actually did go around trick or treating on our own as kids. These days though, the community organizes a party and group trick or treat for all the kids and teeners and adults accompany the wee ones around. at this day, and when I have my own kids, i don’t think I’d be letting them go on their own.
