Who turned the heat off!   I swear wasn’t it 60 when I checked the mail Wednesday?!  Holy Geeze its colder then a well diggers ass outside.  Im sittin here bundled up in a cover, drinking pipin hot Jo and eatin some cream of wheat… BRRRR….

OMG THAT BURNS!

So, let me tell you what I did yesterday!  You guys know I hate my fro right.  Well, I got the idea when I was out looking for something to color the gray to Straighten my hair.  the goal, straighten now, and in a week or so color the gray, just in time for the big family Christmas get together, WHICH is HERE this year!  OMG, will tell more about that another day, FOCUS….

So….

I buy what looks good to ME… (non hairdresser, non styling product user, I dont even DRY my hair with a dryer…)  Ok, so I pick up this.

ooo.. pretend you don’t see my jammies!  lol

Anyway, I follow all the ‘structions, right like it says… and it SAID leave on 15 minutes  WELLLLL after about 8 minutes, I swear I felt like my head was on fire!  Ran in rinsed it out, followed all those directions….  and now look what I have…

can you see?  My hair fell out in a CLUMP at the crown, and that’s BLOOD you see there hidden in the gray!  It ate my head!  YOWWWWW!!!!!

And to top it off…
what do I get for my pain and agony?   Long beautiful locks like the lady on the box?  NO.. my hair is now straight down to about my EARS, then its is Straight alright, Straight NAP!!!!  Fuzzy tangled, NAP.   grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…..

What do we learn from this…
If you don’t know what you are doing, DONT do it at home.  THATS what I learned!   Don’t try new products, that’s what I learned!  If you don’t use alot of stuff on your hair already, don’t jump in and go hard core first time out, try some gel or something FIRST! THATS what I learned, And finally, just like with McDonalds the end result NEVER looks like it does on the menu haha!!  

Well, on a plus.  Most of what fell out WAS gray. hahaha!!!!

First, several of you wrote me warning me the dangers of tanning. LOL…  I think I need to clarify.  Tanning for the sake of tanning is dangerous.  But for someone with a slight case of psoriasis such as myself,  10 Minutes, of a 30 minute session makes me skin not all itchy.  Trust me when I say I do not TAN.  I tanned every day for two years, and the only thing that got darker was my freckles.  That would be the German/Irish in me.  LOL.

So after my post about the sheet-rock, someone asked if Id seen the Alvin and the Chipmunks preview.  Nope I hadn’t, but I’ve heard “chick a  chick a bowow” for about a week from my kids anytime I kiss DH bye….  so I figured I’d better look and see what all that fun was about.  roflmao!

as promised some pics from my new cam.  Note these are majorly resized!  the originals are like 4000 x 5600 or something crazy! hahah!  Also, haven’t changed any settings just played with Flash on/ flash off….  hahaha

Does that bell look familiar?  It should!  It graces the JINGLE PEN! ha ha!

Oh, remember I was going to tell you a funny story about the tree?  Well, the kids’ rooms are disaster areas.  So I say, Clean your rooms and we’ll put up the tree.  Off they go in a flash!  Im excited cause I have FINALLY found something to get them to clean their own rooms! YAY!  After about a minute and a half of my self-appreciation, my Sis comes back up the hall and says, “Mom, I decided.  I don’t want a tree this year”  Well, needless to say, SHE is as pigheaded as her Daddy.  So I ended up putting up the tree alone, at 2am. lol.. Merry Christmas to ME.

Sooo, I reckon I should be happy!  And you should too cause that means more goodies for YOU!  hahah!

PROGRESS IN THE UNFINISHED ROOM!

I’m so freaking excited!  If your new to my blog, let me back story.  We bought this sty back in June.  And the people before us had started converting the garage (?) at least I think it was a garage into a room.   By started I mean, they changed the garage door to sliding glass doors, and knocked down some VERY important beams, dumb-asses, ANYWAY.  LOL.

anyway, we are making it into 3 rooms and a big walk-in closet!
Our bedroom, his office space (retreat as he calls it), a room for my tanning bed, and a huge closet!  woooohoooooooooo!!!!  It has taken for ever it seems to get the 2×4′s up and the wiring done.  We’re doing it a little at a time so we wont get in debt over it kwim?  So last month we bought insulation, this month sheet rock…

TODAY:

the sheet rock is UP in the bedroom part, tanning part and closet! woohoo!!!  He is going to putty the sheet rock and all that his next day off, then I can go in and paint, and then we can start shopping for carpet! 

Awww… the queen has lost her castle…
but but….
She gained a tanning room!  YAY!!!

Daddy even went all out and added a little MOOOOOOOOD lighting…

HEY HEY!  No cracking on my 1969 paisley carpet!  I KNOW OK!  No need to rub it in my face!  DAY-UM… a girl can only renovate ONE ROOM AT A TIME, so BACK OFF!

I swear, I think I have NO digital mojo today.  I’m so tired!  I was up till 3ish, then went to bed, and Sis had climbed in my bed.  So instead of making her get up to go to her room, I decided she could just sleep with me.  Well, every time I would about fall asleep.  She would laugh.  Not giggle, I mean full on laugh.  IN HER SLEEP.  lol…  such a hard life my kids have, they even laugh in their sleep. LOL.
