First, to everyone who has commented, emailed, called, and messaged. I love you all. Thank you so much for the kind words and understanding! I didn’t mean to make my yahoo group sound so exclusive! If I have had some sort of correspondence with you, chances are I will let you in. Just be sure to fill out the questionnaire thingy that is sent out when you apply to join. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, see yesterdays post. I have no desire to rehash it.
My day has been so crazy, but I did finally find the time to play with my new camera! Well, not so new anymore! And I learned, I have a LOT to learn about all the bells and whistles on it!
For my project 365, I’m only going to post a few of the pics I took on here. To see them all please check out my Google Album.
We overslept this morning, so we had to take the kids to school. They were on a one hour delay and we STILL managed to oversleep. How does THAT happen? The snooze button is NOT my friend!
I got up and fed the kids, then took some time out to feed the squirrels.
after everyone got their day going it was back to the tax lady for me and DH
OY! The good news is, we didn’t have to pay in YAY! I was worried to death that’s why she called us back, but the real reason was she had found us more money! So if you or your spouse go to college, be sure to ask about the Hope Tax Credit. Without it we were only getting like $180 of credit for hubby’s classes. But with it, we are getting $800 more dollars back then we originally thought! YAY! Not only that but it took our state return from $13 to almost $200! Yay! We were so worried that we were going to have to pay in because I only made one estimated payment on my income last year! Thank GOD it was big enough! We were relieved to think we were getting what refund we were getting, and now were REALLY happy what we’re getting back! Lesson learned, I will make my estimated payments on time!
After that we went to Big Lots and I bought my first ever PAPER SCRAP SUPPLIES! I mean, I had bought stuff before, but never with the intention of scrap booking! They had these cute little 4 x 4 albums, so I bought a boy one and a girl one. (well, somehow I accidentally bought 3 baby girl ones!) Now I gotta find some girl babies! hahah! Anyway, today I got to get my craft on!
I was so in the mood to buy craft stuff! See yesterday sis and I decided to make each other Valentines! Here is the one she made me. I wont say what it says inside, but it made me cry. She is sooooo creative! She didn’t have anymore white paper, so she used a paper towel! how smart is she!
Well, needless to say, when I got done crying I wanted to make her one, so here is my first ever attempt at creating a card. Please do not laugh!!!!!
again, not going to tell you what it says inside. None ya Bitness…
hahah!
omg, edited to add!!!
I totally forgot Bubs Valentine! So he comes in and says "pheewwwww…. finally finished your valentine mom!" I spin around all excited and he hands me this…
Sweet aint it. A piece of paper with a sketch on it. LOL… I’m starting to think Bub did NOT inherit the crafty artsy gene.
When we got home from shopping, I still had some time before the kids got home so I jumped in the truck (which hubby has WRECKED ALREADY! DID I TELL YOU THAT?! OMG!) anyway, I headed out to my grans cousins beautiful home to play with my camera! Can I just say, even though I am not fantastic in Manual mode, YET… I still LOVE MY CAMERA!!! Canon G9, go get one! Lets learn together!!! Anyway, here are some of my fav shots from today, the rest are all on that web album thing! (Link is up yonder)
Canoe was still froze over, how cool was that?!
The next one was on Manual mode when I finally remembered which thingy to change to make the pics not so dark. If you go view the album, you can see the dark ones too. Took a few tries, but I figured it out!
Next one was my photography buddy for the day. I don’t know who’s dog it is, but every time I would scooch down to take a good pic, he would give me a goose with his nose. hahah! Funny dog. It was so muddy out there, I think he thought I was falling. Only fell in the mud TWICE thank you very much!
He also taught me I know nothing about manual photography if the subject is MOVING, because none of the pics with him in them are really crystal clear like the others. I’m pretty sure I took this one after I put it back on Auto.
Anyhoo,
that was my day, and this is my Project 365 for today! Did you P365????
