So I had kind of a bad day yesterday.   I was TOTALLY bummed out last night.  I vented to my girls last night, well.. more like whined.

We, my hubby and I, have been talking for about 2 years now about getting another dog.  Ours is REALLY lonely now that BOTH kids go to school.  Its just me and her all day.

well.. I’ve looked and looked high and low for a black male pug;  WITHIN driving distance and under a grand.  NOPE.  All the black males I can find are like off in Cali and $1500.   Ok Darrin is NOT going to let me pay THAT much for a dog AND have to go get it too.  So we decided this week end, we didn’t have to have a PUG, that she needed a buddy, and holding out for a pug is, well.. stingy….IF the REAL reason we were getting another dog was for her.  She wont care if its a pug or not, KWIM?  So we decided to go to the pound.  UGH… can you spell m.i.s.t.a.k.e.

My heart is broken.

Our pound is NOT a "no kill" shelter.  The woman told me they only keep dogs for 7 days.  So a dog has 7 days to get adopted out before its put to sleep.  Ok as if this wasn’t bad enough, if you saw these faces… omg… those faces…

To start it off…

There was a BATCH of little puppies.  Barely weaned.  I would guess about 6 from the same brood.  Light brown with black mask faces.  Maybe part collie?  So sweet, and fat *you know fat baby belly fat*  (did you hear the crack) and then there were 3 little droopy ear babies,  maybe had some lab in em, you could tell they was gonna get big, but they were all spotted… Sissy screamed, OH LOOK THEY LOOK LIKE COWS!  They were little ones though, also barely weaned.  and one of em.. omg, if you made eye contact he would just spin around and burry his face in the wall, he was soooo scared. (craa.a.ck) Poor baby!!!    So of course I’m looking at this poor little baby and the woman is telling me about the 7 day thing, and my heart is breaking.  I looked at Darrin and he flat out said "no" and walked away.  He knew, I was trying to do math in my had… what is 9 babies x $61.. LOL… 

Aside from the puppies there was a gorgeous dog, they had tied a blue bandanna on.  Golden retriever looking dog though I’m sure it wasn’t full blooded.  It had the saddest face.  She didn’t bark not one time.  Just looked at you like she knew.. kwim?  OMG, look Im bawling. AGAIN.  LOL.. I’m such a wuss!!! Darrin said she was too big to be an inside dog, and he didn’t have the heart to leave a dog outside all the time… (cra..a.a.ck)

There was a big fuzzball dog.  Bushy like a collie and TALL… and he was sooooo happy to see people.  Just waggin his tail.  I told Darrin I LOVED him.  He had grey hair just around his face, and it made him look like a little old man, and wise.  At that moment, I realized how much I’m going to miss my pepaw….  Darrin said he was a great dog, but too big.  (craa.ACK)

And then there was this little dog, a feisty little poochie.  I hope Darrin changes his mind about him.  His name is Rosco, and omg he is so cute!  *My grans brothers name is Roscoe too btw.  Fate?*  He is a little dog, full grown.  Some kind of terrier mix, and colored up like a brindle pitbull.  smooshy fuzzy face like Chewbacca on Starwars.  The woman said this is the 4th time he’s been there.  His owner doesn’t care about him.  He didn’t bark just wagged his little nub. LOL…  The woman said she don’t know why his owner keeps coming to get him, because they don’t care about him.  He had a big no hair scar on his neck, she said last year they had to cut his collar off.  (craa.a.ck) Why would they give him BACK if they know he’s being mistreated!? kwim?  Anyway.  He would fit perfect with us I think.  He didn’t bark at the other dogs, he was playful.  Even got in Sis’s lap once she finally sat down.  He was a good dog.  Darrin doesn’t want to get a dog we know is someone else’s.  What if they come to get him after we’ve got him, etc?  I see his point, but….

UGH…

I WANT THEM ALL.

Anyway that was the drama that was my yesterday.  All about finding a new baby, and cringing at the thought of the ones I cant take.

I was playing around with them all last night and did a layout, which lifted my spirits a bit.  I totally lost track of time though, and ended up staying until after 4am!  STUPID TYPOS!!!!!! lol.
