I started today out with good intentions!  I was going to work all day.  Yep… NO SIDETRACKIING I HAVE WORK TO DO!  I was going to work, and create, and scrap, and blog…

Well, my bff Sandy showed up. lol..  Seems when I have plans to buckle down for a day, her spidey sense (or Bunny sense, as the case may be) kicks in and she’s here in a flash.  Without her disruptions I have no doubt, my sanity would have left LONG ago. LOL… 

You know that old saying, "A friend is someone you can call to bail you out of jail, but your BEST FRIEND will be in jail right beside you"  THAT is my Sandy. LOL.  I wuvs her.  She is absolutely the most insane person I have ever met.  Well, other then kimmie. LOL…   I’m really excited too, because she just got herself a lapper, so she will be ONLINE soon!  After years of me bitching, begging, trying to sway… she’s FINALLY getting ONLINE! woohoo, welcome to the DIGITAL world Sandy!!!!

Look what my girls sent me a few weeks ago!  I was really depressed about the site troubles we were having, and then a little personal stuff was going on.  This basket of goodies could NOT have come at a better time!  And the funny thing is…  apparently it was supposed to have gotten delivered with the roses the girls sent me.  Because I was stressing over the site.  Well the roses came but no yummies.  UPS lost my yummies!  Sounds bad right?  WRONG!  After all the site stuff, I had a little personal stuff that was bringing me down, and then THIS arrived at my house!  The timing was perfect.  I told the girls I was SOOOO glad it got lost, because I NEEDED the lift!

The lovely Barb noticed I changed my little pic up there on the right.  I WISH I still looked like that.  That’s a pic someone sent me, of me, when I was barely twenty.  I don’t have any pictures of me at that time in my life, so I have been sending out emails trying to get some images from the early 90’s.  It really had me bummed out, knowing I certainly don’t look that way anymore!  I stuck it on here, hoping looking at it every day, would give me the motivation to get off my a$$ and DO SOMETHING. lol…

Crafty Goodness

So if you have read my blog much in the last 2 months, then you know I’m slowly turning my office into a craft room.  Slow going, but I don’t like to pay regular price for ANYTHING.  lol..

Look what I got at Lowes!

I BELIEVE this is a nail sorter thingy ma bob.  It was regularly $20 and I got it clearanced for either $11 or $8, I can’t remember now.  But when I saw it, I knew right off, it would be FANTASTIC for holding beads!  Mine were just in baggies in my file cabinet!

Now, if I could just find a good place to get BEADS for fairly cheap! lol…

TESTING TESTING

a few weeks ago, the girls sent thru a tutorial on making a CD PHOTO CUBE thingy.  Now, I’m knew to hybrid, new to altering, etc, deathly afraid of glue.. lol…

I sat down one night when I couldn’t sleep, and decided I was going to TRY it.  I seem to be most creative, and bravest late at night when I can’t sleep.  I didn’t really put a lot of thinking into the project, as it was more a "to see if a could" then it was to make a pretty. 

I DID IT!

Man, it seems like forever since I’ve actually HAD time to sit down and POST!  The dishes can sit another hour, the laundry can wait too!  Today, I’m posting! 

Geeze its been so long since I’ve actually posted, I have no idea what I have even wrote about. LOL…

Lets see…

First, I talked to Jazzy.  She sounded pretty good.  She is sooo thankful for all the nice comments and prayers you all are sending.  We also had a fantastic sale for her!  Thank you ALL so much for hitting up the sale, helping us help her!

I managed to do the DSO Dosie this week!! Yay me!  This weeks dosie was to use one of the templates provided {FREEBIE-yooohooooo…. go get it!}  and make a card! 

Credits: I used white cardstock and printed a paper from my WaterColor Splash kit on it, some tissue paper, a button, the font is called CURLZ and is at dafont.com, and a bit of ribbon bought at walmart.

For the flower, it alternates 3 layers CARDSTOCK and TISSUE PAPER.

hmmm what else have I done this week? hmmm.

I colored my hair this week… whyyyy? you may be asking… well let me tell you about my loving daughter, who ONLY thinks of her mommy….

She comes into the office the other day and says to me, out of nowhere…

"Mom, you should get you some Nutrisse at Walmart"  
"Whys that Noney-bug?" 
"Momma… theeeey say-ud it covers grayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"

LOL…

ok, so I love her for thinking of mommy, but can I just say… OUCH! hahah!  Needless to say we went to Wal-mart and bought me some Loreal Excellance Creme.  And I took it back to my natural color.  For the first time in ummm.. 12-13 years, I am once again Dark Brown.

Have I posted since I moved my ribbon rack?
I dont think so!

So I accomplished my Ribbon Rack in the closet, but being as long as it was getting one off without all the others falling in the floor was nearly impossible!

So after trying to explain it to DH like a billion times what I wanted, I went outside and found some SPARE PARTS and made up a temporary version…

This is pretty "ghetto" fabulous, made out of left over sheet rock, curtain hooks, and broken dow rods. LOL.. But now that he gets it, he’s going to build me a BETTER version. LOL…

oh, see that serger machine there.  My Gran gave me that.  Im not sure what it does, but she said if Sis is going to "get into" making clothes, she will love it.  So, there ya go.  LOL.  I googled sergers, and man they are Ex-Pen-Sive so I am very thankful Gran gave us hers!  Now I just gotta find some "HOW TO USE" info on it! lol….

ok, Ive rambled on enough… I will try to get something good going for a post tomorrow… we’ll just have to see how time goes.  We’re going to start my closet to craft center renovation this weekend!

Yesterday one of our design team members and friend, Jazzy, suffered a great loss.  Her grandson, who was only 16, passed away.  It has only been a few months since her daughter passed away as well.  We are all so sad for everything Jazzy has had to go through these last few months.  You can read more about Andrews life, by reading this touching forum post she made at http://www.scrapbookmax.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4426&highlight=Jazzieal a while back.  For those of you who do not know Jazzy, she is one of the sweetest kindest ladies I have ever been blessed to meet.  She is a little further on in years, and lives on a very limited income.  We, the designers at DSO, do not want her to have to worry about coming up with money to pay her bills at this time.  She has so much on her plate already.  In an effort to do "what we can" to help her, we are having a ONE DAY ONLY SALE.  Most of our team are participating in the sale (which INCLUDES Commercial Use and Mega kits) and 100% of the proceeds from todays sale will be sent to Jazzy.  If you would like to put a message to Jazzy in the comment block during checkout, I will gladly include your name on the card that will be sent to her with the money raised.  Any messages will be printed and included as well.
