HI ya!
Man, it seems like forever since I’ve actually HAD time to sit down and POST! The dishes can sit another hour, the laundry can wait too! Today, I’m posting!
Geeze its been so long since I’ve actually posted, I have no idea what I have even wrote about. LOL…
Lets see…
First, I talked to Jazzy. She sounded pretty good. She is sooo thankful for all the nice comments and prayers you all are sending. We also had a fantastic sale for her! Thank you ALL so much for hitting up the sale, helping us help her!
I managed to do the DSO Dosie this week!! Yay me! This weeks dosie was to use one of the templates provided {FREEBIE-yooohooooo…. go get it!} and make a card!
Credits: I used white cardstock and printed a paper from my WaterColor Splash kit on it, some tissue paper, a button, the font is called CURLZ and is at dafont.com, and a bit of ribbon bought at walmart.
For the flower, it alternates 3 layers CARDSTOCK and TISSUE PAPER.
hmmm what else have I done this week? hmmm.
I colored my hair this week… whyyyy? you may be asking… well let me tell you about my loving daughter, who ONLY thinks of her mommy….
She comes into the office the other day and says to me, out of nowhere…
"Mom, you should get you some Nutrisse at Walmart"
"Whys that Noney-bug?"
"Momma… theeeey say-ud it covers grayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"
LOL…
ok, so I love her for thinking of mommy, but can I just say… OUCH! hahah! Needless to say we went to Wal-mart and bought me some Loreal Excellance Creme. And I took it back to my natural color. For the first time in ummm.. 12-13 years, I am once again Dark Brown.
HEY,
Have I posted since I moved my ribbon rack?
I dont think so!
So I accomplished my Ribbon Rack in the closet, but being as long as it was getting one off without all the others falling in the floor was nearly impossible!
So after trying to explain it to DH like a billion times what I wanted, I went outside and found some SPARE PARTS and made up a temporary version…
This is pretty "ghetto" fabulous, made out of left over sheet rock, curtain hooks, and broken dow rods. LOL.. But now that he gets it, he’s going to build me a BETTER version. LOL…
oh, see that serger machine there. My Gran gave me that. Im not sure what it does, but she said if Sis is going to "get into" making clothes, she will love it. So, there ya go. LOL. I googled sergers, and man they are Ex-Pen-Sive so I am very thankful Gran gave us hers! Now I just gotta find some "HOW TO USE" info on it! lol….
ok, Ive rambled on enough… I will try to get something good going for a post tomorrow… we’ll just have to see how time goes. We’re going to start my closet to craft center renovation this weekend!
Until next time!!!

That is so funny about Sis and the Nutrisse. I decided that I had to start coloring my hair when a stranger asked if my baby was my grandson. “Ummm…. no….” I was only 32!!!!!

I had to laugh at Sis & the hair color. Girl, I pluck the damn grey. Granted it’s taking longer & longer these days….I say it’s cause they’re getting harder to find.
Maybe getting to be too many of em & I’m trying not to pluck out the blonde. All these younguns’ll do that to ya. And ya know, sometimes ya just gotta be ghetto fabulous!! HUGS YA!!! MWAHS

Firstly… let me say Bunny, your photo is LOVELY! You don’t look like you should need to color, but kids don’t lie, I remember one time being on a bus fieldtrip with one of our kids, - kindergarten age, and the sun was shining and I guess the kid was looking at my PROFILE in the SUN and said “Mrs Derksen, do you know you have a MOUSTACHE??? ROTFL - I DON’T honestly, but I’m sure at the right angle, with the sun back-lighting all that peach fuzz it could APPEAR so.. Snort, I LOVE kids
The color the hair thing? I have loads of hair, like you, and I only use 1/2 a color at a time, REALLY. See you don’t have to redye your ends all the time, in fact its BAD for them, hard on them. You might try my trick it works really well AND saves money.
Take a plastic tub (the kind whipped topping comes in is a good size) hold the product bottle up to the light so you can see the liquid inside and pour 1/2 into the bowl, of both the color and developer. Then, buy yourself a paintbrush, you know the kind you paint walls with - what, about 3 - 4 inches wide? Mix the solution up. Then make a part in your hair and PAINT the color on. I comb the color in further too, with a wide toothed comb. Hint, I use an old chopstick to part my hair. I just do this the way you would with a squirt bottle etc, but the brush covers better etc. Think about it, hairdressers use this when the foil and color peoples hair!
Another thing I do VERY VERY carefully, is I take a craft paintbrush, you know a small painting brush, like a watercolor brush and I paint my EYEBROWS with the same color. Be EXTREMELY careful not to get any in your eye, be SPARING… but honestly so many women forget to do their eyebrows and it does not match… its much lighter and ages you! Before you rinse your hair, take a damp cloth and wipe the dye off your brows first before doing the rest.
You can leave the unused portions of product right in the original containers for next time.
I am so glad Jazzy is coming along. I wish I could just HUG her thru the internet. We are all a family in her pain, no?
Your DO-sie ROCKS… hoe PRECIOUS!
Your journalling is wonderfl, and I appreciate it. Thanks for sharing your sewing room, its inspiring. Would you mind letting me know when you update so I don’t miss you in my busy-ness Buns? Just email me at lalalime(at)hotmail(dot)com

Girl that is a OVERLOCKER in simple English- BWAHAHAHA- I have one but not your make- but it’s EXACTLY the same- REMIND me to send you some hints on how to thread it with EASE- there’s a cheat so you don’t have to do the WHOLE re-thread when you change colours-lol
LOVE the card- we’ve created a monster- who’s no more afraid of GLUE-
WOOOHOOOO!
Ok Ok- I think I’m tired and must go to bed or I will be yakking this box full!
OH OH and Loreal Excellence is the BEST dye- it’s color is more Natural than a lot of others I’ve found and it’s kinder on the hair too- GOOD CHOICE!
