LOL…
not alot of time to post today, just wanted to pop on and say HI! and show you a layout I squeezed in this weekend!
The wonderful Mrs. Miles err uhh…Olivia Dorazio allowed me to play with her new kit, Junkyard Garden 2, and I was sooo excited! Its very grungy, earthy, outdoorsy….
Anyway, when I saw it, I knew EXACTLY what set of pics I wanted to scrap with it. I had done a layout of JR at work a few years ago, but that was A FEW YEARS ago, I wanted to re-work it! JR was my Grandmothers uncle. So after sifting thru all my old KY Electric pics *which is now KU or Kentucky Utilities* I chose one of the inside of the main building, and one of JR actually at work. Isn’t he cute up there?
Can I just say how nice it is to use other peoples kits every once in a while *ok, most of the time*. I don’t know about other designers, but usually for me… by the time I’m finished making the kit I’m tired of looking at it! So I usually jump on it if someone asks me to use their stuff! I don’t have time to really OFFICIALLY join anyone’s CT, so I suppose I’m a perpetual ct floater. So designers, if you need some layouts… *hint hint* LOL.
a lil KY history
Like you care about the electric company for here from back in the 30s and 40s, LOL.. BUT… most of the men in my clan from back then worked there. It was down in Nortonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky. I have tons and tons of old photos of it, from all the way back when they were BUILDING it!
Anyway, I think all these old pics are so interesting! I really need to re-scan them, the first time I scanned em was before I knew about size, dpi, etc… These were taken somewhere around 1941.

it popped in my head because I’m sitting here trying to think of what card I want to make for this months card swap, and making cards happens to be my new favorite hobby… there, see how nice that all flowed out together!
I swear I have the attention span of a gnat and it really is a wonder that my blog EVER makes sense! hahah!
ok, I’m finishing up now…
I really have a billion things to do today! Instead of walking on the treadmill this morning, when the monkeys left. I went back to bed. So now, none of my usually already done things are DONE. Its nearly noon, and I’m just getting my start on the day!

I’m calling them digi-doods. Digital Doodled stamps… so here a couple for you to play with. I would love to know what you think about them, since I usually make stuff for MYSELF and then wonder if anyone else would even understand their purpose. LOL..
tis why my freebie posts are not that often. I just don’t think anyone would be able to / or WANT to use what I’m making that day. LOL…

I LOVE that LO Bunny, I enjoy the older pictures like that. I could look through old pictures all day long, I always wonder what their lives were like when I see these old photos. Your digi stamps are great, thanks for sharing them. And I have a little something for you on my blog

Bunny, that LO is FAB! I love Mrs. Miles….errr Olivia Dorazio’s goodies. And she’s so sweet. That kit is absolutely perfect for that LO. I think I need to hit my gramma up for her old pics. My Mama sent me her wedding pics from 1967..I have had a BLAST doing those. I bet I’d have just as much fun, if not more, scrapping those older’n dirt pics (Gramma’s words) of my Gramma’s!!

Love the layout Bunny, that kit of Mrs.Miles is beautiful..love the heritage look of it..love those old pictures too..thats my favorite kind to scrap..I am glad Ive have tons and tons of old family pictues just wish I knew who all of them were..LOL love the hearts and that color..thanks for sharing

Hi Bunsy,
I meant to get here earlier today, but found myself with a ton of veg given to me… which were threatening to expire unless preserved in some fashion… so out came the canner. sigh! I’ve been up to my elbows in basil, cilantro, tomatoes,oregano etc… I’m sure all sorts of Italians will be driving up my driveway after smelling it wafting in the wind. (only italian i WANT in my drive is my sweet husband!)
Anyways, I hate canning in the heat - but there’s nothing to be done for it, cept to get to work. I’ll be sure glad I did tho, come winter in the DEEP SNOW that you and I get in the winter, unlike SOME people (KB) who live in WARM climates…
THANK YOU again, for the QP - it ROCKS. Did you see I made a layout from it too? I just added a few extras on cuz it was for my friend from her garden. Thanks for sharing all your photos and the cool stamps!
