Hi friends.

Just reposting from the DSO BLOG, so forgive me if you read it over there…

After much thought, conversation, and prayer I have decided I will not be renewing the hosting for DSO at the end of October. The more I have thought on it, the more clear the decision for me has become.

Many factors play in my decision including financial and personal reasons. The most obvious being my health, as you all know I have not been well the last few months. And though it is nothing “life” threatening it is really beating me down physically and emotionally. That plus really, my overall change of "interest". Honestly, I would really like to focus more on a paper crafting “type” business, though that really doesn’t describe what I want to do either. ha. I can’t really do anything until I get better, and really worrying about DSO is a huge drain on me.

I have had many conversations about what would happen to my wonderful team if I closed, and honestly its the only thing that has kept DSO open this long. I hope whoever the new owner is, if there is one, will keep them on as designers because they’re really a fantastic group of ladies, who work very hard to keep things running smoothly. I’ve been around digiscrapping for a while now, and though most sites CLAIM it, DSO really IS a TEAM!

So, DSO’s up for sale, and maybe someone – or one of you, will buy it and carry it on in good tradition. This offer will remain on the table until October 15th.

{hosting must be renewed by new owner by Oct 29.}
*ssl is paid up until 2010

*zen-cart store software {heavily modified, and SECURE}
with a very large customer database

*DSOs main blog

*DSOs twitter and Facebook Page

DSO currently uses photopost and vbullettin as the gallery/forum, since they are on a separate server they will not be included. Though they are NOT included in the sale, I would happily include a current version of the database so there would be no data loss in resetting them up on this server, if requested.

domain names: digiscrapobsession.com and digiscrapobsession.net are not included in the sale, but can be purchased separately IN ADDITION to the website. I will NOT sell JUST these 2 domain names. They will be sold to the new site owner, or they will stay with me.

Hey girl…. I am so sorry to read this! I know that you have put so much effort and hard work into DSO. I feel very sad for you and the others. I also know that in order for this decision to be reached that you have wondered, thought, prayed and debated for a while so it is not something you posted randomly. I do hope that it is bought out by awesome new owners so that it may continue on.

But on the other side, you have put so much work and effort into it that all else has suffered. I keep seeing this over and over lately. Keeping a shop, forum and gallery up and running smoothly is a tremendous amount of work, let alone the designing you do also. So take a deep breath now…. It will work out. Maybe for the better, maybe not but you need to just let the decision be. And go played Bejeweled for a bit!!!

I hope someone does buy it, they are a great goup of girls.

friends and business never mix well, they make the big decisions just too hard!

Wow. I’m stunned. (but you knew that already)

I know this decision didn’t come lightly Bunny. I wish you all the luck in getting a new owner for DSO. It would be a shame to see everything scatter to the wind….

LOL! Before I begin, when you say “bounce”, I cannot help but think of Tigger!

I had written quite a bit on your FB post and clicked on something else and lost it! I should know better! Just installed Yoono via my Firefox browser and am adjusting quickly I think. This is TOO cool, as I can keep up with everything while writing to your blog, although I’ve not got a stitch of anything else accomplished! LOL!

Anyhoo, what I said was something like this … Life is TOO short for us not to pursue things that grab our hearts and minds and I believe “true” wisdom lets us know when it is time to let go of things and make changes, which “I” think are monumental in our growth process.

OMGosh, just read your tweet about the spider inside of your glasses! That tops my, “one sec while I kill spider” the other night – it was on the wall!

I will be hoping that the “right” person/persons come along to keep DSO open and a “home, sweet, home” for those that have hung their designer hats there for some time now and even to those that have just moved in!

You take care of YOU and, again, I hope that the doctors get you on the road to feeling better QUICKLY!

Bunny, it TOTALLY rocks!!! I like it better than Tweetdeck for sure. Everything is ALL in one place and you can see ALL updates in one column! WOOT! Now this is what I call SIMPLIFICATION! And, we can all use some of that, eh? LOL!

I keep meaning to send you a link to hear my daughter’s rendition of *Come What May* but I think I have to re-upload to Vimeo. Oh, Bunny, I can’t begin to imagine what a tough decision this was for you, but you have to take care of yourself and your family first.
I hope that someone will buy DSO and keep the most wonderful place in scrapland going, although it won’t quite be the same without you at the helm.
