inky and loving it…

Author: So, someone asked me something pretty funny today. They wanted to know if I create something EVERYDAY or just every now and then. I started to say just every now and then, when the mood strikes. The more I think about it though, I actually DO create something everyday – if you include cooking, or digital stuff. I do “something” creative every single day! Wow!
Here’s a little card I whipped up last night… Didn’t it turn out cute?! 
Supplies: Craft cardstock, Patterned Papers: Merrymint, Cream cardstock, distress embossing ink, embossing powder,ribbon, adhesive, rubberstamps, assorted inks, Smooch, Spica pens, Stickles, and a super sharp craft knife.
the stamps I used were just some little Wal-Mart brand stamps I bought last year.
this card is 5.25 x 4.5
I wanted it to look really layered, so I trimmed my main patterned paper down about an inch. This way when I embossed the craft card base, you would see the embossing…
then I cut off a piece of this patterned paper from the Merrymint collection by American Crafts.
I wanted to use these cute little houses as a border…
stamped the base with Embossing ink…
and embossed with clear/glittered embossing powder. Sorry, I have NO IDEA what brand it is…
hmm.. mmmm…hmmmmmmmmmmmm…… yes, I usually hum while I’m heating… lol
*note to self. One can NOT chat on Facebook, AND properly emboss. It just doesn’t work. FOCUS…

OMG! I just noticed I missed a whole section of blue by that middle house! Well that sucks!
stamped my Santa with Stazon…
then colored him up with ink, and Spica pens, and cut him out..
slapped ‘er all together with some dimensional foams, and Stickled Santa’s coat with tons of Stickles. I don’t know why, I just like using Stickles. I like saying Stickles. I like saying I used Stickles. Stickles. Say it, its funny. It makes me giggle. Stickles.
